Yarrow

Yarrow was used by Navajo Indians to treat toothaches and earaches. It was used by early Eurpoeans for the casting of spells and divination. The herb has many uses.
Other Names
This herb is also known as old man's pepper, devil's nettle, gordaldo, soldier's woundwort, thousand-leaf, sanguinary, and milfoil.
Appearance
This plant grows a stem 10 to 30 inches tall with thin fern-like leaves. The plant blooms in spring. The flowers are small and white. Each flower has a daisy shape and they grow in clusters on the place giving them a lacy appearance.
Origins
The plant is native to North America, Europe and Asia.

The flowers are used.
Medicinal Uses
This herb is a stimulant and astringent. It is also antiseptic and can be used to treat inflammatory. This herb is associated with helping your body remove toxins. It can be used to treat conditions such as the following:
- asthma
- hay fever
- colds and flu
- headaches
- hemorrhoids
- eczema
- stomach ulcers
- abdominal cramps

Side Effects and Warnings
Side effects from this herb are rare. When they do occur you may get a skin rash or skin sensitivity to sunlight.
