Sarsaparilla Root

This herb is also called Smilax uti lis, liliaceae, and red-bearded.
Appearance
This plant is a vine that grows black, blue or red berry-like fruits. The vine grows along the ground and can reach up to 50 feet in length.
Origins
This herb is native to Central and South America.

Medicinal Uses
This herb contains vitamins C, D, A, B, and zinc. It is antibacterial and anti-inflammatory. It is often used as a blood purifier because it promotes sweating and urination. The herb is believed to increase stamina and muscle mass.
