Natural Remedy for FibromyalgiaLooking for a natural remedy for fibromyalgia? Fibromyalgia is a chronic pain condition that affects the muscles, liagments and tendons. Here are some fibromyalgia natural remedies that you can use to control the pain and fatigue associated with this condition.
Massage Massage is a great natural remedy for fibromyalgia. Massage stimulates the production of pain blocking hormones like serotonin and tryptophan. It can be used to treat muscle soreness. It also helps you get to sleep. Ideally, you would get a massage from a massge therapist, but you can also use self-massage to help soothe your aching muscles. Try gently kneading aching muscles for a few minutes each day. Essential Oils Essential oils have healing properties and can be used to help treat your fibromyalgia. Mix these oils with a carrier oil and use them during your self-massage.
Try mixing 25 ml of a carrier oil like grapeseed or sweet almond oil with 4 drops black pepper oil, 4 drops coriander oil and 5 drops marjoram oil. You can also add these oils to a bath. Add 6 tablespoons of sea salt to your bath along with 8 drops either marjoram, lavender, Roman chamomile, rosemary or coriander oil. If you are pregnant don't use rosemary oil, marjoram oil, or black pepper oil. If used too much black pepper oil can cause kidney problems so don't overuse the black pepper oil. Vitamins and Minerals These vitamins and minerals can be used as a natural remedy for fibromyalgia to alleviate muscle soreness and cramping.
Food Your diet can greatly improve your situation and can be a good natural remedy for fibromyalgia. Cut caffeine, alcohol, and whole grains from your diet. These all contain antinutrients that prevent the absorption of magnesium. If you do eat grains make sure they are properly prepared. They must be soaked overnight in warm water with a tablespoon of cider vinegar, lemon juice or whey to each cup of water. Sugary foods and drinks will generally aggravate your condition so you should avoid eating them. Eating fermented vegetables like raw sauerkraut, kimchi, and lacto-fermented salsa daily will aid in digestion. Digestive problems are common with fibromyalgia. Bone broth should also be eaten daily. This nutrient dense food will give you some of the minerals your body is craving. You can make bone broth with any animal bones. Put the bones in a large pot, fill it with water and add a couple tablespoons of cider vinegar. The vinegar pulls the minerals out of the bones. You can add any other vegetable you may want the flavor the broth like onions, garlic, celery, or carrots. Let the broth simmer for 12 hours but 24 is preferrable. It's best to put it in a crockpot on low and just forget about it for a day. When it's done drain out all the bits and you have a good nutrious broth. Eat real food. Carefully read the packages of all the food you buy. If it contains any ingredients that you haven't heard of before or can't pronounce don't eat it. Eating a healthy diet is essential for helping you manage your fibromyalgia. You should avoid all processed and prepackaged foods. I hope one of these natural remedies for fibromyalgia work for you.
