Natural Remedies for Food Allergies
Food reactions are also quite common and getting more and more common every year. Problems are caused by nuts, eggs, wheat, fish, and dairy. Symptoms can range from upset stomach after eating the food to going into a life threatening anaphylactic reaction.
If you have an anaphylactic reaction to eating a certain food the best way to deal with it is to avoid that food. It is far too dangerous to mess with these life threatening reactions. You should make sure that you read labels on your food carefully to be sure that the food you have a reaction to isn't in anything you eat.
If you have a lesser reaction to one of the foods listed or some other foods, you can do a few things to try to heal your gut and immune system. Of course, the first thing you need to do is clean up your diet. That means cutting out all processed foods, white flour and white sugar. Processed foods means all premade food, chips, cookies, sodas and all junk food.
Diary, wheat, barley and spelt all contain protiens that can be difficult for the digestive system to process. Avoiding these foods whether or not you are allergic to them will help speed the healing of you gut. Once you've done that introduce a probiotic into your diet. You can do this with pills or naturally fermented foods. Probiotics encourage the growth of healthy bacteria in your gut.
Stay on this diet for about six months. This will give your gut time to heal. Then you can slowly re-introduce the foods you had sensitivities to, dairy and gluten containing grains back into your diet. Add foods slowly, not all at once. Really pay attention to how your body reacts.
Even if your allergy seems to be cured don't get too carried away with eating the food you have sensitivities too. Eat it in moderation and you should be fine. If they allergy is triggered go through the process of cutting out the foods again.
