Constipation Natural Remedies
Using Home Remedies for Constipation
Looking for constipation natural remedies? These home remedies for constipation will help. Let's take a look at some of the best natural remedies.
Diet
If you're looking for natural remedies for chronic constipation, you should look at your diet first. Constipation occurs when your body is unable to correctly digest food and process waste. Fiber plays an important role in the digestive process. Without it, your ability to eliminate waste from your system is hindered.
Always be sure that you're eating right. That means eat a lot of vegetables and fruits. These are great sources of fiber along with other vitamins your body needs. Eat whole grains and stay away from white processed grains.
If you are having problems with chronic constipation, you could have a food intolence. Many people have wheat and dairy intolerences that they aren't aware of.
My son has suffered from chronic constipation ever since he was very young and we couldn't figure out why. Once we decided to remove gluten (the protien in wheat and some other grains) and casein (the protein in dairy) from his diet his chronic constipation has gone away. If you have an intolence to these proteins, it can cause inflammation in your gut and prevent you from digesting food properly. Cutting these proteins out will give the gut time to heal. Once your gut is healed, you can start eating them again in moderation. For casein that usually take about a month and for gluten about 6 months.

Herbs
There are herbs that can be used as constipation natural remedies, but you have to be careful not to use them too much. As with commerical laxatives, if overused you could become dependent on them and trust me you don't want that.
Here are some herbs that work.
Vitamins and Minerals
Taking vitamin C and magnesium can make a good home remedy for constipation.
Exercise
Living an active lifestyle will help you be more regular. Get out and exercise. Yoga also helps relieve constipation. Try doing the Surya Namaskara (Sun Salutation), Hala Asana (Plough Pose), Dhanurasana (The Bow Pose), or Trikonasana (Triangle) to get some relief.
There are other exercises you can do as constipation natural remedies. Walking is a good way to help relieve constipation. Go for a brisk walk in the morning.
Water
Stay hydrated. Drinking water will also help loosen your stools. Drink a couple of glasses of water first thing in the morning before you eat anything. Drinking plenty of water and doing exercise before breakfast always works for me.
